This problem affects the following product:
- HealthShare Unified Care Record: all mirrored versions prior to 2022.2
With HealthShare 2022.2, the HealthShare Mirror Agent Monitor was redesigned. In versions prior to that redesign, a defect will cause a failure of Mirror Agent Monitor communication between the backup and primary mirror members if all unsecure HTTP communication is disabled, meaning that only secure HTTPS is available. If the backup member fails to communicate with the primary, the backup may not be able to take over as primary in the event of a failover.
The defect is caused by an improper value lookup by the backup member which results in an error. The value lookup will always fail on versions prior to 2022.2, but if HTTP communication is enabled, then the value lookup falls back to a different mechanism that does not fail.
All customers are discouraged from using unsecure HTTP communication whenever possible.
An ad hoc patch to correct the issue is available for older versions. Please contact the Worldwide Response Center (WRC) and refer to HSIEO-7727.
