A defect in Unified Care Record 2026.1 introduced a regression in the Edge Gateway ECR Patient Delete API. The correct behavior results in the complete deletion of all data related to a specific MRN including clinical data stored as SDA streamlets and non-patient-identifiable metadata.
The defect caused some of the non-patient-identifiable metadata to remain after running the Patient Delete API. This can cause data ingestion and processing issues if the same patient with the same MRN is reloaded into an Edge Gateway after the Patient Delete API was run.
The correction for this defect is identified as HSDD-7215, which will be included in version 2026.2 of HealthShare and all future product releases. It is also available for version 2026.1 via ad hoc change file (patch) or full kit distribution by contacting the Worldwide Response Center (WRC).
The correction includes a repair utility class to clean up the impacted MRNs on both the Edge Gateway and the ODS.
