Advisory: A New Care Plan May Incorrectly Carry Forward Information from Another Care Plan

This problem affects the following product:

  • HealthShare Care Community: 2022.2

In HealthShare Care Community, Finalized, Discontinued, or Entered in Error care plan information will carry forward into a newly created care plan for the same patient if you use the same template.

If:

  • a user did not have access to view or edit an entire care plan template

and

  • a care plan template was used, marked active, and then marked in a state where it moved to the finalized care plans table (Finalized, Discontinued, or Entered in Error)

Then, when a new version of that same care plan template is subsequently used, information from the prior care plan will carry forward into the current plan.

Because of role based access control, the user may be unaware that this occurred.

This issue has been fixed in 2023.1
