Information security and privacy are forefront concerns for InterSystems when interacting with our customers, partners, or other parties. The following Information Sharing Terms apply to and parties disclosing or communicating information (“Transmittor”) to InterSystems Corporation and its subsidiaries and affiliates (“InterSystems”).
Transmittor will only provide Personal or Confidential Information to InterSystems when strictly required for the purposes relevant to the specific services that InterSystems provides to Transmittor and in full compliance with the applicable data protection laws and regulations as well as these Information Sharing Terms.
Transmittor will provide only the minimum necessary Personal or Confidential Information relevant to the specific services that InterSystems provides to Transmittor, will ensure that InterSystems is authorized to receive such information and will obtain all necessary consents and approvals.
Transmittor will not ask or require InterSystems to process Personal or Confidential Information in a manner in which the Transmittor could not do itself under applicable laws and regulations, including applicable data protection laws and regulations, or that would violate any contractual obligations of the Transmittor.
Transmittor represents and warrants that it may process the Personal or Confidential Information, either under contract or law, in the manner Transmittor authorizes InterSystems to process the Personal or Confidential Information relevant to the specific services that InterSystems provides to Transmittor.
Transmittor will be responsible for using administrative, physical, and technical safeguards at all times to maintain and ensure the confidentiality, privacy, and security of the Personal or Confidential Information transmitted to InterSystems in accordance with the standards and requirements of any applicable data protection laws and regulations until such time as the Personal or Confidential Information is received by InterSystems.
In particular, when transferring information to InterSystems, whether or not such information is related to a support issue, Transmittor represents that it will take precaution to avoid compromising the security of this information, such as using secure and/or encrypted channels and communicating passwords by a transmission and mode of communication separate and distinct from the secure transmission of this information, such as sending such password in an encrypted file.
For supplying files and/or material containing Personal or Confidential Information related to support issues, Transmittor will be responsible for the following administrative procedures and safeguards:
- WRC Direct: InterSystems Worldwide Response Center is accessed through WRC Direct at URL https://wrc.intersystems.com. When attaching a confidential attachment, Transmittor will note the presence of protected information by enabling the “Elevated Security” option. Attachments with “Elevated Security” enabled will only be accessed by InterSystems staff directly involved with a Support Case.
- TRC Online: InterSystems TrakCare Response Center is accessed through TRC Online at URL https://trc.intersystems.com.
