This problem affects the following products:
- All HealthShare Unified Care Record® and Information Exchange versions
Requirements:
- IHE
Various IHE interactions allow other systems to look up patient identifiers in HealthShare in order to request documents for a patient.
The following business hosts includes an ApplyConsent property that controls whether MPI-level demographic consent is applied to Cross-Gateway Patient Discovery requests:
- HS.IHE.XCPD.RespondingGateway.Process
- HS.IHE.PDQ.Supplier.Process
- HS.IHE.PDQv3.Supplier.Process
- HS.IHE.PIX.Manager.Process
- HS.IHE.PIXv3.Manager.Process
The ApplyConsent is setting is disabled by default. Customers that use IHE should check the value of the ApplyConsent setting on their business processes and enable it if consent checking for demographic data in patient identifier discovery requests is desired.
Note that the value of this setting does not affect clinical consent for information in returned documents.
