NDoc Is Certified for Integrated Functionality, Interoperability and Security
LANCASTER, PA, August 13, 2013 — NDoc® 12.11, a comprehensive home health information systems solution designed, marketed and supported by Thornberry Ltd., was certified on July 25, 2013 as a CCHIT Certified® 2011 Long-Term and Post-Acute Care (LTPAC) Electronic Health Record (EHR) with Home Health add-on by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®). The NDoc solution is based on leading-edge database and connectivity technology from InterSystems, including the InterSystems HealthShare® informatics platform for strategic interoperability and analytics.
“We believe CCHIT certification of NDoc EHR for the home care industry is another example of our commitment to customer success. Striving to be the first and the best is not unique to Thornberry, but I believe what sets us apart is our ‘just right’ corporate footprint that enables us to move at the speed of change, often propelling our customers ahead of their competitors,” said Tom Peth, Thornberry’s President and chief executive.
“Thornberry shares our commitment to interoperability certification, because it reduces uncertainty for healthcare providers and helps elevate the quality, security, and safety of care. Thornberry has been an InterSystems partner for many years, and we are delighted to work with Thornberry on interoperable healthcare solutions that provide a solid foundation for connected care,” said Paul Grabscheid, Vice President of Strategic Planning, InterSystems.
NDoc is an end-to-end scheduling, billing and clinical point of care solution for home care and hospice agencies designed to fully automate the everyday tasks of an agency’s operations, supporting every agency’s goal to improve patient outcomes, optimize patient safety, and become a cornerstone for post-acute transitions of care.
NDoc is built on InterSystems Caché, a massively scalable high-performance database; the InterSystems Ensemble platform for rapid integration of connectable applications; as well as the InterSystems HealthShare strategic informatics platform. “It gives our customers peace of mind knowing that NDoc’s native interoperability is based on InterSystems database and integration technology – the world’s most widely used platform in healthcare applications,” Peth noted.
CCHIT uses a comprehensive and complex inspection process based on real-life medical scenarios designed to test EHR products thoroughly and rigorously. These scenarios mirror the complex needs that home care providers encounter. NDoc was thoroughly tested using criteria that inspect functionality, interoperability and security. As a fully CCHIT Certified® 2011 LTPAC EHR, NDoc passed inspection of 100 percent of these criteria including verification of successful use at live customer sites.
