Ensemble’s Innovative Business Process Engine, Advanced Development Features Power BPM Application Targeting Credit Union Sector

Cambridge, Mass. – November 16, 2005 – InterSystems Corporation today announced that Maestro Projects Group is making available Maestro business process management (BPM) software through an early adopters program now underway.

InterSystems’ Ensemble universal integration platform is the technology foundation for Maestro, which is initially targeted for the credit union market. InterSystems develops and markets Ensemble and the CACHÉ post-relational database.

The Maestro Projects Group,is a subsidiary of USERS Incorporated,a unit of Fiserv, Inc. Maestro is leading the initiative to deliver integrated BPM functionality and tangible benefits to the credit union industry.

Fast Integration Fuels Platform Selection

“Application integration is becoming a top priority for credit unions that must quickly adapt to changing business needs and respond more rapidly to customer demands than ever before,” said Anne Ballard, General Manager of the Maestro Projects Group.

“Ensemble provides an incredible development environment that enables our business strategy of fast development and rapid implementation. And, Ensemble’s rules-enabled, business process orchestration engine allows us to provide clients with control over their unique processes via a user-oriented, intuitive, graphical interface. The combination of these advanced integration and development capabilities coupled with a comprehensive yet consistent architecture that supports end-to-end management makes Ensemble the right integration platform choice for Maestro.”

First Maestro Adopters: Credit Unions

After a successful proof-of-concept with Ensemble, the Maestro Projects Group began an early adopters program designed to deliver Maestro integration projects before year-end to 10 credit unions. “The projects are typically very high-impact, with Ensemble-based Maestro providing integration with multiple third-party interfaces,” Ballard said. “Every Maestro component can be installed in any credit union in the country, and Ensemble makes it easy to implement these standard components along with the business rules that are totally unique to every client, “ she continued.

While the initial focus is on credit unions, the Maestro Projects Group business plan calls for expansion to target other industry sectors, including banking, insurance and healthcare. “Our goal is to leverage the clients’ existing technology investments, add the new functionality they need to achieve their business objectives, provide the integration needed for their disparate systems, and ultimately deliver a business process that is greater than the sum of its parts,” Ballard said.

“It’s a pleasure to work with the Maestro Projects Group as they bring this innovative BPM solution to market,” said Trevor Matz, Ensemble Managing Director. “We are seeing fast-growing demand for process-centric, rules-enabled integration products throughout the financial services industry. With the ability to deliver fast integration, rapid development and smooth implementation, Ensemble-based Maestro is well positioned to fulfill the business vision of organizations in this extremely competitive market.”
