Cambridge Mass. —January 27,  2009— InterSystems Corporation today announced that InterSystems Ensemble®, the company’s rapid integration and development platform, was rated as the industry’s best Interface Engine in the 2008 annual survey of healthcare organizations conducted by KLAS, a leader in healthcare technology research. This marks the third consecutive year that Ensemble has been ranked number one in the KLAS survey. The ranking was reported in the 2008 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software and Professional Services report, an annual research report that surveys thousands of healthcare providers throughout the United States and Canada.

InterSystems Ensemble is a high-performance software platform and advanced messaging engine that is used to develop and integrate mission-critical applications, leverage previous software investments through composite applications, and establish an enterprise service bus or SOA infrastructure. Ensemble-based projects are deployed in healthcare, commercial and government organizations worldwide to solve many demanding HL7 integration problems and as part of some of the world’s most visible initiatives to develop national electronic health records.

KLAS measures a vendor’s performance in areas like product quality, implementation, and service and support. One hundred percent of the surveyed users who implemented Ensemble said they would buy the product again. Drilling further into the KLAS data, 100 percent of respondents would recommend Ensemble to their peers.”*

“We are very pleased that InterSystems Ensemble has been recognized by the healthcare organizations surveyed by KLAS as the number one interface engine for the third year in a row,” said Paul Grabscheid, InterSystems Vice President of Strategic Planning. “And, we’re aware that with that honor goes the responsibility of continuing to deliver technology innovations and top-level service. InterSystems is committed to fulfilling those expectations and to meeting the increasingly critical information technology needs of leading healthcare organizations worldwide.”
