Eton, UK – January 10, 2005 – InterSystems, the leading vendor of the CACHÉ post-relational database and the award-winning ENSEMBLE universal integration platform is using this year’s 3GSM World Congress (Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France, Hall 2, Stand E26, 14-17, February 2005) to showcase how its innovative technology is benefiting telecoms companies.

InterSystems is actively enabling telecoms operators, equipment manufacturers and systems integrators to rapidly develop applications that leverage its high performance database and integration platform technologies.

Specific areas of focus for the company include operational support systems; billing and mediation; contact centre solutions; mobile fraud detection; call forwarding, messaging assurance, directory services, and business intelligence and activity monitoring.

Application partners InterSystems is working with include airwide solutions, which recently migrated its highly successful airguard application for mobile operators to CACHÉ database technology. Simon Everitt, president and ceo, airwide solutions comments: “The use of CACHÉ has enabled us to make the airguard product much faster as well as allow us to extend its storage capabilities. This has helped significantly improve its standing in the market.”

Infocube, another InterSystems application partner, uses the CACHÉ database to develop applications that provide the necessary content organisation and three-dimensional navigation on PDAs, digital TVs, mobile phones or PCs.

Chris Norton, InterSystems’ telecoms business development manager says: “We are seeing growing demand for our solutions across the telecoms sector. For companies operating in this highly competitive environment, CACHÉ offers a compelling mixture of rapid application development and lightning fast performance, making applications highly-competitive and cost-effective.”

“This is complemented by ENSEMBLE’s ability to integrate even the most complex systems rapidly and efficiently, overcoming the barriers and high service costs associated with integration projects today.” InterSystems recently received confirmation of ENSEMBLE’s best of breed status as it won the coveted European award from Information Management (IM2004) for ‘Best Product of the Year’.

InterSystems will demonstrate CACHÉ and ENSEMBLE on its stand at the show. CACHÉ uniquely offers three integrated data access options: a robust object access database, high performance SQL and rich multi-dimensional access. It enables rapid application development, extraordinary transaction processing speed and real-time queries against transactional data.

ENSEMBLE enables exceptionally fast integration and extremely rapid composite application development. It excels at building and deploying new business solutions that integrate data orchestrate processes and enhance the value of existing applications.

Norton will be available on the company stand (Hall 2, Stand E26) throughout the show to discuss InterSystems’ work across the telecoms sector.
