General Lab will implement its information systems using Caché, the post-relational database produced by InterSystems
Madrid, Spain – September 5, 2000 – InterSystems, the world’s leading supplier of high performance post-relational database systems, has announced that General Lab, a group of clinical analysis laboratories, has agreed o implement its information systems with Caché, the post-relational database developed by InterSystems.
As a result of the agreement, General Lab, which has 50 laboratories throughout Spain and a staff of over 200, has become a VAR (Value Added Reseller) of InterSystems.
To facilitate migration from the previous system, a database manager supplied by Micronetics, General Lab employees have attended Caché training and implementation courses.
General Lab, which besides implementing Caché for its customers also uses the base at its corporate level, anticipates that changing the management system will enable its customers to access graphics environments and the Web. “It is still too early to talk of results, but we have very good reports of Caché”.
