InterSystems certification exams are valid for five years. After that time, exams are reviewed to determine whether they should be updated, replaced, or retired entirely.
When an exam is retired, any certifications already earned will remain valid for five years from the date of achievement.
Exams may be retired for several reasons, including:
- Major shifts in technology
- Evolving product capabilities
- A new exam better aligns with current roles or development practices
