- Eliminates long lines—Passengers place luggage in the BagDrop unit which scans the boarding pass, generates a label that the passenger attaches to the luggage, performs checks for weight, dimension, shape and label presence, and photographs the item. All relevant information is stored in the CACHÉ high-performance database.
- Reduces operational costs while generating revenue—BagDrop automatically generates upgrade proposals and manages purchase of access to airline lounges, increasing both employee productivity and revenue streams.
- Provides critical information in real time—InterSystems DeepSee is used to drill down and create informational dashboards and reports in real time. Due to these active analytics, airlines and airport operators have immediate insight into processing and baggage-handling information such as the number of passengers and pieces of luggage, destinations and payment transactions.
