Maimonides Medical Center Leverages Ensemble for Enterprise-wide Integration

Brooklyn-based Maimonides was one of the first medical centers in the U.S. to recognize the essential contribution that technology can make in care delivery. One of the organization’s latest initiatives was the migration from eGate to Ensemble as their enterprise integration platform.

Today, more than 400,000 messages are streaming through Maimonides’ applications via Ensemble. Building on that success, plans are to leverage additional Ensemble capabilities.

Spectrum Health Adds Mobile Access to Patient Portal built on Ensemble

Following successful migration of application interfaces throughout the enterprise to InterSystems Ensemble, Spectrum Health is now focused on maximizing use of the integration platform on new development projects.

Most recently, Spectrum Health launched a smartphone app that provides fast, easy access to the MySpectrum Web portal. Through MySpectrum, health care consumers can perform multiple activities such as viewing wait times at urgent care centers, accessing lab test results, checking symptoms and finding a physician.

 All Web services, data, and data maps are delivered to the portal through Ensemble, which integrates six systems and multiple data repositories. The solution also provides a dashboard and control mechanism for the HL7 interfaces involved with MySpectrum. This means that data can be visualized, monitored, stopped or started as it flows to and from the portal, resulting in improved control and support of an application that increases the level of engagement between patients and physicians.

Partners HealthCare System Provides Community Physicians with
EMR Access Using Ensemble

A leader in healthcare technology innovation, Partners HealthCare System, Inc. in New England includes multiple hospitals and clinics and more than 7,000 physicians attending to four million outpatient visits and 160,000 admissions annually in its healthcare network. One major focus is on enabling electronic medical record (EMR) adoption by all community physician practices in the Partners system. Partners is using Ensemble as a hub to integrate and coordinate the flow of patient information between community-based physicians and the Partners EMR and clinical data repository systems.

Hundreds of these physicians throughout Massachusetts are now able to access the latest EMR data for each patient, ensuring consistent patient identification in any location. Partners is positioned to support continued growth of its network statewide while also enabling the highest possible level of quality care delivery.
