CACHÉ-BASED OMNI-SOFT : NEW, EASY-TO-USE AND FULLY-INTEGRATED SOFTWARE FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES

Wetteren, Belgium - April 5, 2002 - Omni-Soft, the Belgian IT consultancy business, has launched a latest-generation product of the same name. Designed especially for the needs of small and medium enterprises, Omni-Soft – based on CACHÉ, the post-relational database from InterSystems Corp. – combines business management with a range of flexible, wholly-integrated management solutions. In addition to conventional accounting, it provides for customer and product management solutions, and for the integration of catalogues.

Running on Windows, the software is particularly easy to use, and since it was developed using the latest technologies, it opens the way for companies to supercharge their administrative efficiency. Manual steps are greatly reduced, so users can master the software faster and more intuitively, saving considerable time. If, despite the ease of use, a user encounters a problem, help is available via the Internet.

This multilingual software (French, Dutch, English, German) makes it possible to create a document in one language and produce it in another. Omni-Soft is currently installing the software for an important motorbike distributor in the Wallonia region.

Omni-Soft software is equally suitable for horizontal and vertical market sectors.

For the development environment, Omni-Soft chose the CACHÉ database technology from Intersystems. ‘Its flexibility, speed and functionality makes it the ideal database, while its open structure allows for excellent integration with the Omni-Soft product,’ emphasises Dirk Audenaert, head of marketing at Omni-Soft.
