Experience with EAI:
System Interoperability is an IT approach to ensure similar data elements are shared and synchronized over disparate and seemingly disconnected systems. Without it, sharing patient information between departments or consolidating demographic, claims, billing, and clinical data for a single patient would not be possible.

ITS has extensive experience with proven results in achieving interoperability across disparate systems. We have experience with state-of-the-art integration and data aggregation tools. Some of our Successes:
For a Large Disease Management Company, ITS developed a custom interface that synchronized inbound patient records from over 120 different sources. Modifications to the patient's records triggered the interoperability solution to create HL7 messages and integrate these messages directly with the clinical workflow to insure patient continuity, data integrity, and manage co-morbidities.

For a Nationwide Payer Organization, ITS integrated patient records in real-time between six different companies participating in various managed-care programs. The companies included CMS, a major pharmaceutical company, a medical chart management firm, a clinical care company, a provider billing intermediary company, and a payer organization. The solutions provide by ITS ensured all patients were synchronized in the various systems and provided duplicate patient/provider management.

For a Nationwide Payer Organization, ITS provided an interoperability solution to interface directly with the Claims Processing Engine. This interface ensured patient data from external sources was consolidated into a single patient record and processed according to the existing claims standards and algorithms.

For a Large Provider Organization, ITS implemented an interoperability solution designed to accumulate, consolidate, and synchronize data from various systems into a single data repository for Business Intelligence Reporting and Analysis. This solution provided a comprehensive view of the entire organization and allowed for several efficiency programs to be identified and implemented.

For a Health Ministry in Canada, ITS delivered an interoperability solution that received HL7 messages from clinic, hospital, and provider systems throughout the province and applied these messages directly into the master workflow engine. In addition, this solution would trigger alerts, follow-up messages, and action flags to various departments, as appropriate.

For a Large Healthcare Provider, ITS conducted a business case analysis to recommend an interoperability solution that would integrate five legacy application with a new core enterprise system. ITS went on to implement the interoperability solution. The resulting integration dramatically improved patient data integrity, reduced data redundancy throughout the organization, and increased nurse efficiency by 27%.

For a Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO), ITS developed an interoperability solution that would automatically enroll patients into ancillary programs and services based on data triggers submitted from the field and from select conditional analysis. This solution provided program management efficiencies throughout the organization and dramatically improved program enrollment.
