The UFCG is about 30 years old, and was one of the first universities in the northeast of Brazil. The UFCG has four locations, most notably the Science and Technology Center (CCT).
The UFCG has over 5,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs, and most of its’ professors have Phd degrees from abroad.
