ALOHR provides the necessary infrastructure to securely exchange electronic health records between authorized participants. Participating providers are able to query the interoperable, two-way data exchange from within their electronic health record system to access patient health data from other providers. Providers without an EHR system can access a secure messaging system.

Together, they create a trusted network to facilitate the efficient use and exchange of patient data to support patient-centered health care and continuous improvements in access, quality, outcomes and efficiency.
