  • The health records for hundreds of millions of people in 80 countries, including those for 2 out of 3 people in the U.S., are based on InterSystems technology
  • InterSystems-supported regional health networks in the U.S. serve more than 90 million citizens with comprehensive, longitudinal health and care records

And Tomorrow

InterSystems will continue to serve those who serve us – with increased performance, greater interoperability, and coordinated care.

InterSystems & VA Partnership

No one has ever called migration from one electronic medical record (EMR) system to a different one an easy task. For the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the task was to make the transition from a 40-year old, internally developed EMR system to a new commercial off-the-shelf system. Challenges in this transition included:
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., March 23, 2020 – InterSystems, a creative data technology provider dedicated to helping customers solve the most critical scalability, interoperability, and speed problems, today announced that it has been named a 2020 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Operational Database Management Systems (ODBMS). This is the second time in 14 months that InterSystems has been recognized as a Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. and WASHINGTON D.C., July 8, 2020 – To streamline care for the nation’s veterans, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has launched VDIF EP (Veterans Data Integration and Federation Enterprise Platform), to produce a longitudinal patient record by aggregating and normalizing clinical data across its existing electronic medical record systems, enabling interoperability. This has been a goal of VA for more than a decade, because a longitudinal patient record enables clinicians to immediately use veterans’ clinical data from both VA and external providers, directly improving care for our nation’s veterans.
HealthShare Managed Solutions
Active in all 50 states, the eHealth Exchange is the largest query-based, health information network in the country. As they grew, they needed an enterprise solution to connect their massive network, and turned to InterSystems. Executive Director Jay Nakashima explains.
