HealthShare Demo

One shared patient record, two ways to use it

This environment shows how a Unified Care Record on InterSystems HealthShare brings data from several regional sources together into a single timeline per patient — without copying that data into a central store. That record is then put to work twice over: once for the clinician treating one patient, and once for the analyst looking at a whole population.

Both of those will ask you to log in, and we issue the accounts.

Being a demo environment, nothing here is hidden away — both surfaces open from anywhere. What there is no way around is the login: no self-service registration, no shared demo account, nothing to try anonymously. Without credentials from InterSystems Belgium, this landing page is as far as you get. Use Request access above and we will set you up with a named account.

Two surfaces on the same record

The same federated record answers two very different questions, and the platform keeps them apart on purpose — a different application, a different set of roles, and a separate grant per person.

PRIMARY USE — DIRECT CARE

Clinical Viewer

For the care professional treating the patient in front of them.

  • One patient at a time. The viewer assembles what the connected sources hold about that person into a single chronological record: encounters, medications, allergies, lab results, vital signs and documents.
  • Nothing is pre-copied. The data is fetched from each source at the moment the record is opened, and every item names the organisation it came from.
  • An AI assistant sits in its menu. It summarises the record and answers questions about it, citing the source item for each claim. The language model runs inside this environment, so no clinical text leaves it.

viewer.healthshare.be — publicly reachable, and then it asks who you are. Your own named account, no guest login.

SECONDARY USE — POPULATION LEVEL

Health Insight

For the cFor the analyst, the quality manager, the policy question.

  • Many patients at once. The same records feed analytical cubes, presented as dashboards and pivot tables that can be sliced by period, age band, encounter type or diagnosis — without opening anyone's individual file.
  • Twenty-two dashboards, plus an analyzer. Ready-made views over encounters, visit types and patient populations, and an ad-hoc analyzer for the questions nobody built a dashboard for.
  • It reads a separate analytical copy, fed from the same federated sources, so a heavy population query never touches the clinical path a treating clinician depends on.

insight-admin.healthshare.be — open to the internet here, because this is a demo environment, and then it asks for an account of its own. Reading dashboards is a separate permission from opening a patient record.

What sits underneath both

Neither surface holds the data. Four building blocks, each on its own node, brought together behind a single secured entry point.

FEDERATION
A central index knows which source holds something about a patient. The data itself stays at the source and is retrieved only when it is asked for.
INTEROPERABILITY
Incoming formats — FHIR and HL7 among them — are translated into one clinical model, so that data from different sources can be read side by side.
IDENTITY & ACCESS
Every user is a named account carrying roles, and the two surfaces above are two separate grants. Being able to open a patient record does not give you the population view, or the other way round.
AUDIT TRAIL
Who opened which record, and when, is recorded — and collected onto a node of its own, so the trail does not live only where it was generated.

Connected services

The record is assembled from external services that connect into the federation. Each stays the system of record for its own data — the platform retrieves it on demand and labels every item with the service it came from, rather than copying it into a central store.

Logo Abrumet
ABRUMET
The Brussels regional health network. Shares documents and clinical data recorded by care providers across the Brussels-Capital Region, fetched per patient when a record is opened.
Logo Transmural Platform
TRANSMURAL PLATFORM
The telemonitoring connector. Feeds home-monitoring readings and their reports into the same timeline as the rest of the record, so remote follow-up sits alongside the clinical history.

Access

Both surfaces open from anywhere — this is a demo environment, not a production one — and both then ask who you are. The doors are not hidden; they are locked.

Clinical Viewer The patient record. Your own named account; the AI assistant is in this application's menu.

Health Insight The dashboards and the ad-hoc analyzer. A separate permission: a viewer account does not open these.

Management portals & monitoring
Configuration, interoperability traces, operational dashboards. Operator surfaces, not part of the demo — an account issued for either surface above does not carry the roles they need.
OPERATORS
No credentials, no further than this page. Accounts on this platform are created by hand, one per person — there is no sign-up form, no trial account and no password to guess. If you would like to see either surface in action, that starts with a conversation rather than a login screen.
Test data only. This environment contains no real patient data. It exists for demonstration and evaluation and provides no service to patients or care professionals.

Getting access

Both login pages above will open for you; neither will let you in without an account, and the two are separate grants. Tell us which surface you want to see — the Clinical Viewer, Health Insight, or both — and we will provision a named account for it. A guided walkthrough normally comes with it, which is also the fastest way to see what a Unified Care Record actually changes.
