Advisory: FHIR _include Query Parameter Fails Silently for MedicationStatement.medication

This problem affects the following products:

  • HealthShare Unified Care Record 2020.2, 2021.1, and 2021.2

This issue occurs when using the FHIR Gateway on the Operational Data Store (ODS) in HealthShare Unified Care Record. If the FHIR client supplies a query for MedicationStatement with an _include for Medication resources, the requested Medication resources will not be returned in the response bundle and no indication is given that a failure has occurred in the response.

Valid references to the Medication resources are returned and can be resolved to a Medication resource via a subsequent request.
