Certification confirms HealthShare’s commitment to open, trusted standards for connected care
WINDSOR, UK – 1st July 2025 – InterSystems today announced that InterSystems HealthShare 2024.1 has achieved Level 2 conformance to the Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) Core Information Standard v2.0, valid until 16 June 2028.
The certification confirms that HealthShare meets every mandatory requirement of the Core Information Standard, with over half of all optional elements implemented using the correct value sets and cardinality. The certification process involved a detailed, evidence-based review of 966 data and business rule items by PRSB experts, who also conducted live demonstrations with the InterSystems team to validate the platform’s support for FHIR, HL7 v2, GP Connect, DICOM, and IHE profiles.

For customers, Level 2 conformance provides clear advantages, including documented proof of compliance for tender and due diligence processes, future alignment with the forthcoming Core Information Standard v3.0, and the flexibility to configure fully standards-compliant systems. InterSystems has also provided practical feedback during the assessment to help shape the next version of the standard, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to collaborative improvement of healthcare data standards.
PRSB has scheduled an annual check-in for June 2026 to monitor adoption, with InterSystems committed to tracking HealthShare’s use across live sites and sharing updates to ensure continuous alignment with evolving standards.
Level 2 certification marks both a milestone and an ongoing commitment for HealthShare, supporting healthcare organisations as they advance connected care through open, trusted standards.
