Nomination Criteria and Submissions

To be considered for the 2025 Impact Awards, an innovation initiative had to fulfill three criteria:

  1. Break new ground
  2. Make a difference
  3. Set an example

To qualify, the innovation initiatives have to be powered by InterSystems software or data and shown measurable progress over the previous year or as part of a longer-term effort. Nominations were strengthened by data and evidence of significant impact and, if featuring current or near-future AI components, given elevated preference. The Innovation Acceleration team collected nominations through online submissions and live interviews, with support from InterSystems account managers.

An Independent MIT Judging Panel

The independent panel of judges, consisting of distinguished MIT faculty members who research and teach innovation, evaluated the nominees’ submissions for the 2025 Impact Awards. At the end of May, they deliberated as a group, after individual assessments, to consider the nominees and select the winners based on the criteria of making a significant difference, breaking new ground, and setting an example.

Broader Impact

The Impact Awards 2025 not only celebrate the achievements of the winning organizations but also highlight the broader implications of these innovations for healthcare, public sector, supply chain, and finance. These projects set new standards for data governance, AI integration, and sustainable practices, inspiring others to push the boundaries of what is possible.
