The Cloud Migration will use InterSystems IRIS for Health to support service development and greater efficiency across NHS organisations through easier and safer data exchange.
ETON, UK, 20th July 2021 – InterSystems announce the next step in their long and valued partnership with WellSky International. WellSky will use InterSystems IRIS for Health™, a data platform specifically engineered to extract and exchange value from healthcare data, to power its new Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (HEPMA) programme for NHS Scotland North region that serves 1.4 million people.
The NHS Scotland North HEPMA programme will optimise the safe and effective use of medicines in hospitals across all six NHS Scotland health boards: Grampian; Highland; Shetland, Eileanan Siar (Western Isles); Orkney and Tayside. It replaces current paper prescribing and medication administration systems within North of Scotland hospitals. WellSky’s HEPMA web-based application will be accessible to medical professionals from any device (PC, laptop, tablet) which is connected to the secure NHS network. In total, 80 hospitals will use the new system, with 40,000 staff as users, with the first implementation go live in Autumn 2021.
