Phillip T. (Terry) Ragon

CEO, Founder, and Owner

Founded in 1978, InterSystems is a privately owned technology company with offices in 28 countries. InterSystems has gained worldwide prominence in the database technology, interoperability, and healthcare solutions markets.

Mr. Ragon is a life-term member of the MIT Corporation, the governing body of MIT (the “Board of Trustees”), and was Co-Chair of the MIT Campaign. He also serves on the Harvard University Medical School Board of Fellows as well as the Harvard Global Advisory Council. He is a Trustee of the Mass General Brigham health system as well as a trustee of both Mass General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and he served as Honorary Co-Chair of the Mass General Campaign.

In 2008, Mr. Ragon helped create the Ragon Institute, a joint research center of Mass General Brigham, MIT, and Harvard. The vision of the Ragon Institute is to “harness the immune system to prevent and cure disease”.

Mr. Ragon is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences as well as the American Academy of Achievement.

Mr. Ragon is a signatory to The Giving Pledge.
