What’s driving Digital Transformation in Healthcare in South East Asia?
Many private hospitals will end the use of paper-based records in favor of fully digital systems within five years, according to the InterSystems survey, ‘Taking the Pulse of Digital Transformation in Healthcare – South East Asia’. While 56% of respondents said they currently use paper-based records, the figure is expected to fall to only 6% of private hospitals in five years.
Drivers for Digital Change Show Commonalities
Healthcare organizations in South East Asia say that over 78% percent are being driven by the urgency to create better internal process efficiencies. As we know, process inefficiencies can have a large negative impact on both patients and clinician engagement. This is closely followed by 75% of organizations feeling the need to innovate.
