DP-444543 |
| Operational: Medium Risk | Occurs only when using the Mirror Database Download feature with databases containing %SYS, %IRIS*, %odd, %nls*, %csp*, or other globals listed in the advisory. |
Issue
In InterSystems IRIS, InterSystems IRIS for Health, and HealthShare Health Connect, versions 2025.1.1 and 2025.2.0, the new “ Mirror Database Download” functionality does not include certain globals. This is limited to the rare case when a mirrored database includes system global names that do not typically occur in mirrored databases. When using this feature, mirrored databases that contain the following globals will be incomplete:
- %IRIS*
- %ISC.*
- %MV*
- %SYS
- %csp*
- %iKnow
- %nls*
- %odd*
- %sqlcq
- %tercap
- CacheTemp*
- IRIS.* (except IRIS.Msg and IRIS.MsgNames)
- ISC.* (except ISC.Src.Jrn)
- mtemp*
Impact
This is a silent completeness issue: the mirrored database download appears successful but omits the above globals.
This issue affects versions 2025.1.0, 2025.1.1 and 2025.2.0 of the following products:
- InterSystems IRIS
- InterSystems IRIS for Health
- HealthShare Health Connect
This issue only affects the new “ Mirror Database Download” feature. All existing mirroring features are fully operational and performing as expected. Using a manual restore to populate the mirror database (which was the default procedure prior to the release of this feature) is a simple workaround.
Resolution
This issue has been corrected in versions 2025.1.2 and 2025.3.0 of the products.
- 2025.1.2 is scheduled for availability on October 22, 2025.
- 2025.3.0 is scheduled for availability on November 19, 2025.
- In the interim, customers who require the correction prior to these releases may request an ad hoc distribution for the fix (DP-444574) through the Worldwide Response Center.
If you need to populate a mirrored database containing any of the globals listed above, copy the globals from one mirror member to another either using traditional backup/restore strategies or by manually copying the IRIS.DAT database.
