Issue
- The impacted versions of InterSystems IRIS for Health and Health Connect are being removed from WRC distribution sites due to issues identified in several FHIR and healthcare interoperability features. This does not impact InterSystems IRIS® data platform releases of the same version. All customers of InterSystems IRIS for Health and Health Connect are alerted to follow the remediation steps attached, regardless of their intended or actual usage of the products.
- Stability concerns may cause significant upgrade failures and unexpected or adverse product behavior. For a full list of stability concerns, please contact the WRC.
Impact Assessment
Attempting to upgrade to the impacted products may result in failed upgrade steps or adverse product behavior in the following areas: installation (including Installer Wizard), mirroring, FHIR Server, bulk FHIR, IHE features, security roles and resources, and healthcare interoperability features.
Please contact the WRC for detailed lists of concerns in 2024.1.4 or 2024.1.5.
Resolution
- Customers must not upgrade to InterSystems IRIS for Health or Health Connect 2024.1.5. InterSystems removed these maintenance releases from WRC distribution sites.
- For customers on an impacted version (2024.1.4 or 2024.1.5), either upgrade to the currently available 2025.1 version or wait for the 2024.1.6 version (release planned for April 15, 2026). Please contact the WRC for detailed lists of stability concerns in 2024.1.4 or 2024.1.5.
- For customers who are on versions that are not impacted and are planning to upgrade, either upgrade to the currently available 2025.1 version or wait for the 2024.1.6 version (release planned for April 15, 2026).
