Advisory: Custom Agreement Function Causes Error During Linkage Rebuild

This problem affects the following products:

  • InterSystems EMPI™ version 2025.2

Requirements:

  • Use of custom agreement function entered on the UI in linkage definition

After you modify the linkage definition in InterSystems EMPI, you must run a linkage rebuild. If you are using a custom agreement function entered via the UI, an error will be thrown midway through the linkage rebuild that prevents the rebuild from completing. This results in inconsistent linkage applied to the system’s patient/person population. This issue affects both new and upgraded installations.

The correction for this defect is identified as HSPI-5096, which will be included in all future product releases. It is also available for older versions via ad hoc change file (patch) or full kit distribution by contacting the Worldwide Response Center (WRC).
