For Observation streamlets, the UpdateStreamletECR() method opens the observation streamlet, loads the SDA, and processes observation groups. If the SaveStreamlet() method fails validation for observation streamlets, the observation group handling fails because the streamlet ID is null. Rather than noting the error and continuing to process streamlets, the code quits, and other streamlets are never evaluated.
The correction for this defect is identified as HSIEC-9949, which is included in Unified Care Record 2024.2 and all future product releases. It is also available for older versions via ad hoc change file (patch) or full kit distribution by contacting the Worldwide Response Center (WRC).
