This problem affects the following products:
- All versions of HealthShare Unified Care Record® and Information Exchange
Requirements:
- IHE PIX Consumer
Whenever an IDUpdateNotificationRequest message is sent to the HS.IHE.PIX.ConsumerProcess business host, an AddUpdateHubResponse is returned with an ErrStatus of OK (or MQ==). This happens regardless of the contents of the request.
This issue as it makes it difficult to determine whether requests are well-formed and whether they have any effect on patient IDs on the Registry.
The correction for this defect is identified as HSIEC-11370, which is included in HealthShare 2025.2 and all future product releases. It is also available for older versions via ad hoc change file (patch) or full kit distribution by contacting the Worldwide Response Center (WRC).
With the correction in place, when a request fails due to missing or invalid MPIID and PriorMPIID values, the response correctly includes an ErrStatus detailing the error.
