Advisory: HealthShare Service Registry Endpoints Calculated Incorrectly When Using Ports 443 or 80

This problem affects the following HealthShare® products:

  • Unified Care Record
  • Clinical Viewer
  • Provider Directory
  • Care Community

Versions:2022.2 • 2023.1 • 2023.2 • 2024.1

Requirements:

  • Customers who use default port numbers in URLs (443 or 80)

A common convention in displaying a browser URL is to automatically hide the HTTP port in the URL string if it is set to the value “443” or “80”.This resulted in the secure URL endpoint that is automatically calculated from information in the Installer Wizard not being matched using string comparison if the HTTP port is 443 or 80.The defect might have caused issues with correct functionality of interoperability productions.

The correction always includes port values when storing automatically calculated Service Registry entries.

The correction for this defect is identified as HSIEO-10850, which is included in HealthShare 2024.2 and all future product releases. It is also available for older versions via ad hoc change file (patch) or full kit distribution by contacting the Worldwide Response Center (WRC).
