Don Woodlock
President, InterSystems

Don Woodlock joined InterSystems in 2017 to oversee HealthShare, the company’s interoperability platform. In 2020, he expanded his responsibilities to include TrakCare, InterSystems comprehensive healthcare information system, along with overall responsibility for the company’s global healthcare strategy and vision. Woodlock was appointed President of InterSystems in 2026.

Prior to joining InterSystems, Woodlock was vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Imaging division at GE Healthcare. Hebringsnearly 30years of experience in IT, beginning his career at IDX Systems Corporation and spending more than 15 years at GE Healthcare, where he led multiple divisions and oversaw the integration ofacquiredtechnologies.

Woodlock is a founding advisory board member of the MIT Generative AI Impact Consortium, contributing to efforts focused on responsible AI adoption and real-world implementation in healthcare. He also hosts Code toCare,an educational video series focused on practical applications of AI and data technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Luciano Brustia leads Asia Pacific business operations for InterSystems. Since joining in 2003, Brustia has held a number of leadership roles in the company and been instrumental in building long-term relationships with customers and implementation partners in more than 15 countries on four continents.

Prior to joining InterSystems, he worked as an implementation partner for InterSystems and as CIO for several groups of hospitals in Italy. He studied Electrical Engineering at Polytechnic University of Milan and received his Master’s degree in Information Technology Management in SDA Bocconi School of Management, 1995.

Scott Gnau
Senior Vice President, Data Platforms, InterSystems

Scott Gnau joined InterSystems in 2019 as Vice President of Data Platforms, overseeing the development, management, and sales of the InterSystems IRIS® family of data platforms. In 2026, Gnau was promoted to Senior Vice President and, in addition to InterSystems IRIS, oversees InterSystems HealthShare. Scott also works directly with the founder on the future of InterSystems data platform offerings.

Gnau brings more than 30 years of experience in the data management space helping lead technology and data architecture initiatives for enterprise-level organizations. He joined InterSystems fromHortonWorks, where he served as chief technology officer. Prior to Hortonworks, Gnau spent two decades at Teradata in increasingly senior roles, including serving as president of Teradata Labs.

Gnau is a founding advisory board member of the MIT Generative AI Impact Consortium, contributing to efforts focused on responsible AI adoption and real-world implementation in healthcare. He is also a board member of the United States' first animal shelter - Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia. Gnau holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University.

Dr. Tim Ferris joined InterSystems in February 2026 as Vice President, Healthcare Practice. He brings decades of experience directing large-scale healthcare technology transformations and leading major physician organizations to drive better patient outcomes and enterprise efficiency.

Prior to joining InterSystems, Dr. Ferris served as President of Healthcare at Red Cell Partners, a technology incubator and investment firm. Previously, he was the National Director of Transformation at England's National Health Service(NHS), as well as CEO and Chair of the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization and Senior Vice President for Population Health at Mass General Brigham.

A recognized leader in health IT, Dr. Ferris' advisory roles include multiple committees at the National Academy of Medicine and the health policy advisory board at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Ferris trained in medicine and public health at Harvard University and continues to lecture at Harvard Business School and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

She is currently based at the company's headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Alex's exposure to multiple markets and various aspects of InterSystems product and service offerings has enabled her to develop a deep understanding of how to leverage InterSystems technology to maximize customer success. She was a leading light in HealthShare's go-to-market strategy, which has become her area of expertise over the last 15 years. Alex has helped lead the growth of HealthShare internationally and heads up InterSystems Managed Service offerings.

Dr Alwi Yunus is a Senior Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon with the National Heart Institute (Institut Jantung Negara, IJN) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His primary clinical interests lie in Adult Cardiac Surgery, where he brings extensive expertise in managing complex cardiac cases and performing advanced surgical procedures.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Alwi is a passionate advocate for the transformative potential of digital technologies in healthcare. He serves a dual role as the Clinical Director of Healthcare Informatics at IJN, where he plays a pivotal role in driving the Institute’s digital transformation agenda, bridging the gap between clinical excellence and cutting-edge health technology.

His special interest lies in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in the development of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions within the healthcare setting. Dr. Alwi is actively engaged in advancing AI-driven tools to support clinical decision-making, enhance patient safety, and enable precision medicine.

Through his leadership in both clinical practice and digital innovation, Dr. Alwi was instrumental in leading IJN to achieve Stage 6 of the HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM), a significant milestone in the institute’s digital journey. He continues to drive IJN’s vision of becoming a leading digital heart institute in the region.

MM., MARS., MCSE., CFP® is an Indonesian Citizen, with more than 25 years of experience in multi-national and international company in various business sectors, especially in financial and healthcare industry with more 17 years with Lippo Group and Siloam Hospital Group. In 2017 joined Hana Bank and focusing on delivering Line Bank, their digital banking and recently completed the digital transformation for Premier Hospitals by conducting standardization, centralization, and revamping most of the operational and business procedures using new technology including migrating all on-premise Trakcare 2011 to centralized cloud-base Trakcare 2023. Starting January 2025 serving as Director of IT and CTO for Mandaya Hospital Group (MHG).

Since joining InterSystems in 1999, Dimitri has held various roles including managing Technical Implementation and Support in the UK, Europe and Middle East and support management positions in InterSystems Worldwide Response Center.

Dr. Kota Torikai
Associate Professor, Gunma University Hospital, Japan

Dr. Kota Torikai is an Associate Professor specializing in Medical Informatics and Medical Physics. He plays a central role in overseeing the design and implementation of hospital information systems at Gunma University Hospital and National Defence Medical College, where he provides strategic leadership in digital transformation and healthcare IT infrastructure development. With a robust background in clinical systems architecture, cybersecurity, and medical data interoperability, he has led several large-scale initiatives to enhance the resilience, efficiency, and interconnectivity of Japan’s healthcare systems.

Dr. Torikai’s expertise bridges the domains of clinical medicine and advanced informatics, with a focus on system security, FHIR-based data standardization, and disaster-resilient IT infrastructure (IT-BCP). He serves as a key member of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s Electronic Prescription Working Group. He also serves as chair of the International Committee of the Japan HL7 Association. He has contributed to the development of national frameworks promoting the establishment of CIO and CISO roles in hospitals and has been actively engaged in policy-making projects supported by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan.

In addition to his academic and governmental advisory roles, Dr. Torikai conducts interdisciplinary research in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity frameworks such as the NIST CSF, and healthcare data science. His work has been recognized with multiple awards for innovation in medical technology and leadership in the advancement of secure hospital IT systems.

Jason (Jianxiong) Gao

Jason Gao serves as Vice President of Technology and Head of the Innovative Medical Solutions Business Unit at iKang Healthcare Group.

He has successfully built iKang's Medical Cloud, Health Management Cloud and Medical AI Platform, facilitating iKang's digital transformation into a data-driven, AI-empowered healthcare group operating more than 150 medical centers nationwide. This transformation has not only significantly lifted medical service quality and operational efficiency, but also alleviated the strain of inadequate medical resources across numerous cities.

Previously, she was Senior Human Factors Lead at John Hopkins Medicine in the United States, specializing in healthcare IT user-centered design and implementation, workflow and sociotechnical systems analysis.
