This 5-day course teaches implementation partners and healthcare customers how to handle the processing and routing of HL7 messages with InterSystems’ integration engine. The course focuses on working with the pre-built HL7 Business Services, Business Processes and Business Operations and to receive and send HL7 messages in an automated process. Students also learn how to transform HL7 messages to send to receiving systems.
This course instructs students how to monitor, manage and troubleshoot Productions. Students learn how to use the Management Portal for viewing, searching and resending messages.
Developing custom Business Services, Business Processes and Business Operations and using Caché ObjectScript is only discussed at a high-level in this course. If you need to create your own Business Services, Business Processes, and Business Operations in addition to using the pre-built HL7 ones, refer to the Building Healthcare Productions course.
This course is applicable for users of Ensemble and HealthShare.
If you need to learn administration at the database-level, not production-level, refer to the Caché System Management course.
There are no prerequisites but basic HL7 knowledge is helpful.

InterSystems reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class at least 10 business days prior to the announced start date. We will usually cancel a class if there are fewer than five registrants. In the event of cancellation by InterSystems, we will refund any payment made for the canceled course.
Tuition is fully refundable if a registrant notifies InterSystems at least 10 business days prior to the announced start date. For cancellation received afterward, we will provide a credit toward a future class.
