HealthShare User Group @ Global Summit 2016Current users of InterSystems HealthShare are invited to come learn and share ideas with each other, and with HealthShare product managers and specialists at the 4th annual meeting of the HealthShare User Group. Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the HealthShare roadmap!

HealthShare User Group sessions will be held on the afternoons of Sunday, April 10th and Tuesday, April 12th. In addition there will be informal roundtable discussions and hands-on workshops given at various time throughout the Summit.

You must be registered for InterSystems Global Summit 2016 in order to attend any HealthShare User Group sessions. You must also be an active user of InterSystems HealthShare.

Several hands-on workshops provide in-depth experience using HealthShare. Space in the workshops is limited. Add them to your personal agenda when you register.
We ask that if you sign up for a workshop, you commit to attending it in its entirety(all parts, all days).
Please make sure that you are available for all the scheduled hours.

Health Insight Workshop

Health Insight
Duration: 12 hours, in three 4-hour blocks
Schedule: Monday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Tuesday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: McArthur Ballroom 6
Leader: Jill Goldberg

The Health Insight workshop provides a hands-on, technical “deep-dive” into HealthShare Health Insight. The three 4-hour sessions are cumulative. No late entry.

Agenda:

Part 1: Monday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

• How to install and configure Health Insight
• Data flow from Information Exchange to Health Insight
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting

Part 2: Tuesday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

• How to customize the Health Insight platform using source data overrides and cube overrides
• Creating custom detail listings
• Adding new cubes and disabling existing cubes

Part 3: Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

• Using smart programs to manage patient cohorts
• How to use advanced clinical notifications to enhance clinical messaging
• Storing custom SDA in Health Insight

Prerequisites:
(also available in .pdf)

1. Basic familiarity with HealthShare:

• Understand the roles of the different HealthShare components (registry, access gateway, edge gateway, etc)
• Can send data into an edge gateway
• Can perform a patient search
• Understand that SDA is the canonical representation of healthcare data in HealthShare

2. Experience with Ensemble:

• Understand how to create Ensemble productions and what services, processes and operations are
• Can look at and understand an Ensemble message trace
• Know how to search the message warehouse
• Can do basic Ensemble troubleshooting (looking at the event log, monitoring queues, etc.)

3. Comfort with DeepSee basics:

• Understand what a cube is and the relationship between a cube and a source table
• Understand what listings are
• Understand hierarchies, dimensions, levels and members
• Know that MDX is the language used to query cubes
• Comfortable using Analyzer
• Understand the basics behind defining a cube and is comfortable using Studio to look at a cube definition

4. Miscellaneous Caché things:

• Comfortable opening up terminal sessions, navigating to different namespaces, running commands that are provided
• Know how to look at globals from a terminal (zw ^MyGlobal(“abc”), e.g.)
• Basic familiarity with Security

Working with Patient Index Workshop

Working with Patient Index
Duration: 8 hours, in two 4-hour blocks
Schedule: Monday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, and Tuesday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

In this workshop, we will go over how to install Patient Index and how to do some of the configurations in the linkage definition such as Thresholds, Duplicates, Custom Rules, and more.The two 4-hour sessions are cumulative. No late entry.

Prerequisites:

• Knowledge of Cache, Ensemble, or HealthShare
• Suggested knowledge of computer programming.

Customizing Personal Community v11 Workshop

Customizing Personal Community v11
Duration: 4 hours, in one 4-hour block
Schedule: Tuesday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: McArthur Ballroom 6

In this workshop, students will become familiar with the new UI framework used in Personal Community version 11. Throughout the workshop, students will apply this knowledge to customize various pieces of the Public Application.

Students will:

1. Become familiar with the UI framework and how it is used in the context of Personal Community
2. Understand how the new framework compares to the old framework (for converting v10 customizations)
3. Learn how to customize the portal using the new framework:

• Branding
• Extending existing modules
• Creating custom modules

• Familiarity with HealthShare Personal Community

Cooking with FHIR Workshop

Cooking with FHIR
Duration: 4 hours, in one 4-hour block
Schedule: Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: McArthur Ballroom 7
Leader: Matt Spielman

This hands-on workshop will expose application developers to the interoperability capabilities in HealthShare. The primary focus will be on HealthShare’s new FHIR functionality but we will also spend time working with V2 HL7 and CDA. The workshop will help to show how a new or existing clinical system can be enabled for interoperability with multiple standards using HealthShare. NOTE: Attendees should already be familiar with the FHIR specification.

Prerequisites:

• Experience with Cache ObjectScript
• Experience with Ensemble/Health Connect and DTL
• Familiarity with the HL7, FHIR, V2, and CDA standards

Connected Care Journey
(located in the Developer Zone – McArthur Salon 4)

Take the Connected Care Journey to get a real sense of what you can accomplish with HealthShare. The interactive Connected Care Journey highlights how, in conjunction with our partners, InterSystems HealthShare can enable better outcomes and lower costs throughout the healthcare landscape.

Your Connected Care journey will take approximately 10 – 15 minutes. Walk-ins are welcome, but there are some scheduled tour times:
