InterSystems Learning Services is offering several post-Summit courses. These courses are tailored for both the novice and expert user of our technology, and are another way for developers to benefit from InterSystems Global Summit 2012.

Post-Summit course:
Caché Systems Performance Management (1 day)
Understanding how your Caché or Ensemble-based application utilizes the available system resources is key to effective performance management. 

In a hands-on format, learn how to use the profiling and system monitoring tools available in Caché and Ensemble to create a picture of your application's system utilization footprint.  Additionally, learn to correlate the information supplied by these tools to the information provided by operating system monitoring.  Finally, use this knowledge to build an understanding of processor, memory, and disk utilization as well as a foundation for effective performance troubleshooting.
Prerequisite: Participants need to have experience with managing Caché and/or Ensemble systems and to have completed the Learning Services class "Caché System Management" or have equivalent knowledge. All attendees must be familiar with operating system administration as well.

Post-Summit course:
Ensemble XML Virtual Documents and Web Services (1 day)
This hands-on course covers handling XML as virtual documents within Ensemble as well as working with Ensemble web services. The  XML virtual document portion covers the virtual document architecture, loading XML schemas, handling inbound and outbound XML, and transforming, routing and validating XML virtual documents. The Ensemble web services portion addresses creating Ensemble web service clients, implementing Ensemble web services, and using the Ensemble web service tools.

Post-Summit course:
DeepSee Fundamentals (2 days)
This hands-on introduction to embedded real-time business intelligence with InterSystems DeepSee focuses on creating DeepSee data models (cubes and subject areas); exploring and querying data models with the DeepSee Analyzer; and presenting model data on dashboards using a variety of interactive graphical elements, including pivot tables, charts, scorecards, and meters. The course also covers the different options for maintaining synchronization between DeepSee data models and underlying transactional data, as well as securing DeepSee tools and elements.

Post-Summit course:
Ensemble Productions with HL7 (2 days)
This hands-on course addresses the processing and routing of HL7 messages in an Ensemble environment. The course focuses on working with Ensemble's pre-built HL7 processing components and adapters. Topics include: Ensemble HL7 Architecture, HL7 Messaging, HL7 Business Operations and Services, Message Routers, Routing Rules, and Data Transformations.
