Caché eXTreme in your application

Using eXTreme in your application

Caché eXTreme can be used to build new applications or accelerate existing applications.   It is currently being used to build applications in a variety of verticals  including Finance, Smart Electric Grid Computing, and Aerospace.

The demands for such performance and features offered by Caché eXTreme  are generally seen in applications that deal with streaming data or rapidly changing data.  Technology such as CEP (Complex Event Processing) is normally leveraged to process data in such scenarios.   One of the limitations of CEP is that it is not a data storage system.  This means that if the CEP based application is processing continuously changing data and crashes before completion, there is no way to start over or retry the data processing because the data is not being stored.

Normal relational storage can not keep up with the low latencies required by most CEP applications.  With the introduction of Caché eXTreme, CEP applications can now be made to be resilient without slowing down processing time.  Both the input data for business logic processing and the output data from the process can be stored or retrieved in microseconds using eXTreme.
