New Session: Identity Management Technology
Tuesday, April 1st, 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
In virtually every industry, there is a growing need to rapidly and accurately identify people, so that data collected by different applications and systems can be combined and shared. For instance, in healthcare this need arises as soon as organizations want to combine clinical data from multiple systems, each of which uses separate patient identifiers. While stand-alone solutions (such as master patient index or master person index products) have existed for some time, InterSystems has been researching a different approach to this problem, based on incorporating advanced indexing and matching capabilities into our database and integration technologies. This session will present the results of that research effort.
New! Caché Workshop for MultiValue Developers
Sunday, March 31st, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
We've added a pre-conference workshop geared towards MultiValue developers who are starting to use Caché. Come with your questions about how to do things in Caché, and we'll show you! Possible topics may include (but are not limited to) creating classes from MV data definitions, debugging MV applications, deploying MV applications, and recent improvements to MVIMPORT.
New Session Title
The session “InterSystems Zen: Enhanced AJAX For Creating Rich Web Interfaces” (presented on Tuesday, April 2nd at 2:45 PM) has been transformed into a panel session and re-titled to “Innovator Panel: Creating Rich Web Interfaces With Zen”.
New! “Whiteboard Gatherings” in the Developer Room
The Developer Room will be open throughout DEVCON, and you are always welcome to go talk about anything and everything there. But we’ve designated a few specific “whiteboard gatherings”, when InterSystems’ experts on various subjects will be available for spirited discussion. You can be certain of finding conversations about:
- Object synchronization – Monday, starting at 3:00 PM
- Upgrading to new versions of Ensemble – Tuesday, starting at 10:00 AM
- Working with very large databases – Tuesday, starting at 2:30 PM
- HL7 – Wednesday, starting at 10:00 AM
Revised list of topics for “Birds-of-a-Feather” Lunchtime discussion groups.
We’ve added some topics, turned others into “whiteboard gatherings”. See the revised list of “Birds-of-a-Feather” topics. Remember, capacity is limited, so if you don’t express interest in advance, we may not be able to accommodate you.
Talk with InterSystems Documentation Group
In the Developer Room, writers want to hear about your successes and failures in working with our documentation. Is it easy to find the information you need? Are the materials useful? How can we improve them? Let’s talk.
“Self-Serve” Customer Demonstrations
We’ve set aside a room where customers can give brief presentations about their Caché-based or Ensemble-based products. Check the bulletin board near the registration desk to sign up for a speaking slot, or to see what innovative products are being showcased.
